Hi! I’m Deborah, a UX Researcher & Designer from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Pronounced: Muh-WOK-key, wuh-Scahnsin. The amazing Midwest Fresh Coast.
Yes, that’s me petting a Gray whale in Baja California! Not quite the fresh coast but talk about engagement!
Reach out to discuss design research and how humans make choices based on emotion.
I love the intersection of human behavior and design. I have been in the industry of user experience research and design for over 15 years. I’m currently focusing on design research (UX research) because I love, love, love, discovering how humans operate! Nonetheless, based on your needs, I am open to hybrid work. Let’s have a conversation.
Tooting My Horn
“Deb supported UX research in a contracted capacity for my team for a little over three months. During this time, she independently led nearly a dozen studies to help us gain deeper insight into user interactions with our digital experience. She dove in and got up to speed quickly, asked the tough questions when warranted, and routinely partnered with product managers, tech leaders, and developers to create robust tests that allowed each stakeholder to achieve their objectives.
In short, Deb's passion for the consumer, designer mindset, and extensive knowledge of UX research and e-commerce were invaluable to our team and led to the identification of numerous areas of opportunity where we can make our product design even better. I would wholeheartedly recommend her for a full-time role or contract opportunity focused on UX research.”
“Deb is an incredible asset to any team who is in need of a UX researcher, or a UX research practice. To say that Deb is incredibly talented and passionate about research is an understatement. I've never worked with someone like Deb who has made me appreciate UX research as much as I do now.
When Deb joined our team, she hit the ground running as an advocate for UX research. She would always educate the product design team and the digital product team about what UX research is, how to use it, why it matter, and so much more. Deb would always prioritize any amount of time to help our team with any research needs, always ready to help educate us and was prepared with an abundance of resources.
Our team has learned the true value and importance of UX research because of her. We could not thank her enough in all that she's taught us, the resources she's provided us, and all the work she has done.”
“Deb came in, solved our problems quickly and gave our business clients the confidence to try something new with their system which has worked out great. There's not a lot of UX people that can handle the change to scrum from sequential development as well, but Deb takes it in stride. Highly recommended and I hope to work with her again soon.”
